Dear Friends,
It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to one of Africa’s most vibrant, invigorating and exciting city– The Exotic City In The Sun, Marrakech – Morocco for the 15th All Africa Conference in February 2010. The Lions of Morocco are known to be charming and have great personality. They show great magnetism in discharging their duties towards assisting the less fortunate and under privileged. The zeal and enthusiasm that Lions carry must be spread throughout the communities, that they belong to. They must “FOSTER MIRACLES” which already exists within them and make those they serve, be part of it. Here in Morocco, we eagerly await your arrival, presence and participation to this All Africa Conference to make it exciting, very informative and a great advantage to the Lions of Africa, who will not only make new friends, and renew old friendship, but also share valuable information that will be beneficent to our Association. PRESENTATION

Morocco, earth of african lionism

Moroccan Lions are always too proud to say that lionism started in Africa throughout the white gate of Casablanca. A both continental and coastal metropolis openned –with it’s haven of hopes– to the Atlantic ocean, then to modernity and having always expressed many solidarities driven by world cultures.
This historical fact perfectly refers to the creation, in 1953, in the economic capital of the kingdom, the senior of the African and Arab clubs.
Today, the Moroccan lionism, become ripe, is still one of most alive and dynamic of our continent, with 34 clubs and more than 700 members engaged in the action of services to the others for a carrying national environment.
His Majesty the king Mohamed VI, from the very start of its reign in 1999, made the fight against exclusion, the marginality and poverty as fundamental elements of general policy in its action plan.
The creation of the Foundation Mohammed V was a pioneer and innovator tool in this action. The tremendous National Initiative for the Human Development (INDH), a building site of reign launched by the Sovereign, constitutes an original lever and federator which allows the authorities, the private institutions and the civil sector to act, in convergence, against all the forms of indigences and poverties.
We naturally got envolved and engaged in these building sites. We geared up our force. We gave more. We were effective because we are trained in the culture of the service. Our usual and different actions against reversible blindness, found echoes beyond our traditional areas of intervention.
The Moroccan Lionism accelerate to the higher speed through the density of its actions, the quality of its members, and the dynamic of its clubs.
The International Association of the Lions Clubs, the first world association of service, represented in more than 200 countries with more 1.300.000 members, trusted us by choosing our country for All Africa 2010 and its 1.000 congressmen. We will be with the height of this honor.
The lions who will accomodate you, in Morocco, in Marrakech, the capital of hospitality, the February 3th to 6th, 2010, at the time of the 15th Conference All Africa, are, in their country, stakeholders of this extraordinary rise of solidarity. They hope on your acting presence to make more shine the humanistic values of sharing and comprehension of the international lionism.

Director of the Conference
